Reviews & Our Verified-Review Policy

We’re a newer service, and we’d rather show you an empty space than a fake one. Here’s exactly how we handle reviews from the GCU nursing students we help.

Why you won't see a wall of testimonials here yet

gcupreceptor.com is an independent, third-party preceptor and clinical-placement support service for Grand Canyon University (GCU) nursing students. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of GCU. We help GCU students secure a qualified preceptor and a GCU-approved clinical site for their practicum, the part students are generally responsible for arranging themselves.

Because we’re a newer service, we have made a deliberate choice: this page will only ever carry reviews we can verify came from real students we actually worked with. We would rather this section stay short and honest than fill it with invented praise. If you’re reading this and it’s sparse, that’s the policy working as intended, not an oversight.

Our verified-review policy

We hold ourselves to a few simple commitments so you can trust what you read here:

What we promise

  • We publish only reviews we can verify came from real GCU students we have supported.
  • We never fabricate ratings, testimonials, or quotes, not a single one.
  • We don’t display star ratings or aggregate scores, because we won’t manufacture numbers we can’t stand behind.
  • We don’t reuse or borrow reviews from any other site or service.
  • We share feedback honestly, including constructive criticism, and we don’t edit a review to change its meaning.

Why honesty matters in clinical placement

Choosing who helps with your practicum is a real decision with real stakes. NP students often delay graduation because preceptor spots fill up fast and they can’t secure one in time, so it’s natural to want proof a service actually delivers. We respect that, which is exactly why we won’t cut corners on the one thing meant to build your trust.

We also want to be clear about what we do and don’t do, on this page and everywhere else. We assist students in identifying a qualified preceptor and a clinical site, and GCU’s Office of Field Experience supports the setup and must approve each selected site to meet practicum standards. We do not guarantee placement, outcomes, or that GCU approves any particular site. You can read more about that process on our How It Works and Office of Field Experience pages.

Worked with us? Share your experience

If we’ve helped you secure a preceptor or a site for your GCU practicum, whether for an MSN nurse-practitioner track, a post-master’s APRN certificate, the DNP, or your RN-to-BSN field requirement, we’d be grateful to hear how it went. Honest feedback, including what we could do better, helps the next student decide and helps us improve.

Reach out through our Contact page and let us know we have your permission to publish. With your okay, your words may appear here once verified. There’s no pressure and no script, just your real experience.

If you haven’t started yet and you’re weighing whether this is the right help for you, learn how our matching works on How It Works, see who qualifies on Find a Preceptor, or get your questions answered on the FAQ. When you’re ready, we’ll work to match you with a qualified preceptor and a clinical site, and you only pay when you’re matched.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Why are there no star ratings on this page?

Because we won’t manufacture numbers we can’t stand behind. As a newer, independent service, we choose to publish only verified written feedback from real students rather than display aggregate scores or star ratings.

Are these reviews real?

Any review we publish here comes only from real GCU nursing students we have actually worked with, and we never fabricate ratings, quotes, or testimonials. If this section is sparse, that’s our verified-only policy working as intended.

Is gcupreceptor.com affiliated with GCU?

No. We are an independent, third-party preceptor and clinical-placement support service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Grand Canyon University. GCU’s Office of Field Experience supports the setup and must approve each student’s selected clinical site.

Can I leave a review if you helped me?

Yes, and we’d welcome it. Reach out through our Contact page and let us know we have your permission to publish. With your okay, your verified feedback, including any constructive criticism, may appear here.

Do you guarantee I’ll get placed?

No. We assist students in identifying a qualified preceptor and a clinical site, but we do not guarantee placement, outcomes, or that GCU approves any particular site. GCU’s Office of Field Experience must approve each selected site, and you only pay when you’re matched.
