Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information gcupreceptor.com collects when you reach out to us, how we use it to help plan your clinical placement, and the choices you have over your data.

Who we are

gcupreceptor.com is an independent, third-party preceptor and clinical-placement support service for Grand Canyon University (GCU) nursing students. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by GCU. We help GCU students secure a qualified preceptor and a GCU-approved clinical site for their practicum, the gap that often exists because students are generally responsible for identifying their own preceptor and site, which GCU’s Office of Field Experience then reviews and approves.

Because our service centers on helping you plan a placement, the only reason we collect information is to do that work. This policy is written in plain language so you know exactly what we hold and why.

What we collect

We collect the information you choose to share with us, typically when you use our contact form or our find-a-preceptor intake. This falls into two simple categories.

The information you provide

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, and phone number, so we can reach you about your request.
  • Program information, such as your GCU program or track (for example FNP, AGACNP, PMHNP, DNP, or RN-to-BSN), your location, and your target practicum timing, so we can plan a relevant placement.
  • Basic site data, standard technical information your browser sends when you visit, used only to keep the site working and secure.

How we use your information

We use your information for one core purpose: to help plan and support your clinical placement and to communicate with you about it. In practice that means matching you toward a qualified preceptor and a clinical site, answering your questions about clinical hours and preceptor requirements, and following up on your request.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their marketing. We only share details with parties directly involved in supporting your placement, and only as needed to do so. Note that GCU’s Office of Field Experience must approve your selected site through its own process and according to its own instructions, we assist with planning, but we do not control GCU’s review.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. You can also opt out of further messages at any time by replying to a message or contacting us directly. To make any of these requests, reach us through our contact page.

We keep your information only as long as needed to support your placement request and to meet ordinary record-keeping needs, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. If we ever update this policy, the current version will always be posted on this page. For more about how the service works, see how it works and our FAQ.

Ready to plan your placement?

Your information stays private and is used for one thing: helping you secure a qualified preceptor and a GCU-approved clinical site so you can complete your practicum on time. We assist with the work that often delays NP students, finding a preceptor before spots fill up, without ever guaranteeing placement or GCU’s approval of a particular site.

When you’re ready, find a preceptor or get in touch. You pay when matched, not before.

Frequently asked questions

Does gcupreceptor.com sell my personal information?

What information do you collect when I reach out?

Mainly two things: your contact details (name, email, phone) so we can respond, and your program information (your GCU track, location, and target timing) so we can plan a relevant placement. You choose what to share, usually through our contact or find-a-preceptor form.

Can I ask you to delete my information?

Yes. You can ask what we hold, request a correction, or ask us to delete your information, and you can opt out of further messages at any time. Just reach us through our contact page to make the request.

Are you affiliated with Grand Canyon University?

No. gcupreceptor.com is an independent, third-party preceptor and clinical-placement support service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by GCU. We help students plan a placement, while GCU's Office of Field Experience reviews and approves the selected site through its own process.
